Ladybower Reservoir From Win Hill

We took the trainees to Win Hill today. It’s an easy summit and a short walk from Glenbrook Guide Centre, so a good location for teaching simple navigation to novices.

Later they had sessions on risk and risk assessments, then route cards.

Finally a night nav session. Sadly it hadn’t been recced recently by the Director of Training and it wasn’t an easy session for me to run for my group, with access barred in a couple of places and car parking a long way away. Preparation is everything.
