I mentioned to my dad a few days ago that we fancy getting some sort of shallow-depth console-table thing, to go in a small spot in our hallway. In true Dad fashion, he then spent the next couple of days practice-turning some legs and cutting some hardwood to size for the top. No idea what this will eventually look like when finished, but it will have been made with lots of love and care, which is the important bit.
