I've only ever seen one before.

A day of waiting for sofas. Sofas that are too big to get up the stairs so have to be taken round the side of the house and through the back door.

While I waited for the sofa-men I read 'We have always lived in the castle' by Shirley Jackson, a Gothic book of murder and family loyalty. And burying dolls, and nailing books to trees, and setting fire to houses.

I may go and look for other books by the same writer.
