Short Days

When people find out we live relatively near the Arctic Circle they often ask how we get on with the very short days. Usually it's not a problem and now we've retired we can get out and enjoy even the short days.    However, on days when the  clouds are really thick and the murk is down, and the rain is pouring, and you have to have the lights on all day, it can be a little depressing. Today was such a day!
Fortunately we had a lot to do, packing for our upcoming trip to the UK and cleaning the house.
I thought I'd take a walk despite the weather but only did the 250 metres to the  postbox and decided to give it up as a bad job!
I'm generally optimistic so tomorrow's another day and we may even see the sun!
