Frozen 2

No, not the new Disney classic, but almost (although not quite) a description of today's Ramblers walk. First, there were just over 20 of us out this morning for our walk from Kirkintilloch to Kilsyth and, next, the temperature for much of the morning hovered around the -2 mark. It was cold!

As was the case when I went out for a walk along another part of the Forth and Clyde Canal yesterday afternoon, the Canal today was frozen and quite eerie-looking in parts. Having walked from Kirkintilloch to Twechar we left the towpath there and our route then took us via Dumbreck Marsh and the heritage path back into Kilsyth. Instead of coffee and cake, I settled for a soup and sandwich today - it seemed more appropriate.
