Downy Woodpecker

I just started hanging the bark butter out again a couple of days ago. It wasn't possible to have it out while there were, you know, BEARS. But I now figure it's been cold enough lately so as to make a bear visit impossible unlikely. In any case - this female downy woodpecker is the first one I've seen visiting it. Traffic should pick up now that it's been spotted. Tomorrow I'll start hanging out a feeder full of peanuts, and another full of sunflower seed. Let the winter feeding season begin!
