Wanderings with a Camera

Twigs of Past Trips

My wife and I used to have the habit, when on holiday, of picking up pieces of fallen trees. When we'd get home we'd clean the sticks, polish and varnish them before sticking an engraved brass plaque telling us where we'd picked it up; it just seemed better than collecting fridge magnets....which we did many years later!
These ones remind us of trips we'd made to Dean Castle (Kilmarnock, Scotland), the Culloden Battlefield, the Pass of Killiecrankie, Delville Wood on the Somme and Ploegsteert Wood in Belgium.
