Sudden Awakening

I was sitting under this tree in Bulimba Memorial Park this morning, enjoying the shade and a takeout coffee, when a sudden rustle and thump made me jump. This Ringtailed Possum had fallen out of the tree right next to me and looked most surprised to find itself on the ground, especially as these are nocturnal creatures, so it may well have fallen in its sleep.
