My 300th roller coaster!

I did it! What a milestone. We drove five hours to East Rutherford, New Jersey, so the newest amusement park in the country, Nickelodeon Universe. It also was our 28th amusement park this year. It's in the new American Dream mall, which isn't ready yet. Actually, the park isn't ready yet, but we wanted to visit anyway.

Only one of the five roller coasters is open. Two others had opened but were closed today. The new drop tower opened today, so we got to ride that. It was really fun. It stops at the top and rotates around, giving a 360-degree view. You can see Manhattan from it. This is the closest I've been to Manhattan. The skyscrapers are amazing.

The park is fun. It really could use more work, but it was nice to visit. We'll go again when the mall's retail and water park are open. The only retail so far is a pop-up Whoopi Goldberg store. How odd is that?

In extras:
- The Manhattan skyline from the mall. That's the Empire State Building in the middle.
- The twisted mess of track of TMNT: Shellraiser and Shredder coasters. Shellraiser was my 300th.
- A Legends of the Hidden Temple ropes course. This would have been worth the price of admission alone. I spent probably half an hour climbing it.
- The drop tower.
- Overview of the park from the entrance.
- The empty mall.
