Away

Up early to carry all the empty flattened boxes downstairs to be collected by the removal company (took 10 trips up and down the 2 flights of stairs - that should sort my step count out today!) then walked over to our away day venue. Was absolutely freezing and took a while to warm up. Some useful discussions, but didn't merit all my prep last night.
At lunchtime we were greeted by chilled 'bowl food'...hate that concept and we all really needed stew and mash or at least hot soup! Warmed up a bit by mid afternoon, then home to meet up with VickyG who's here at a conference. We nipped round to the Malaysian for supper and talked about the complexities of kids and their grown up lives before home to compare institutions and have an early night. Emergency blip of some candles....
