Pohutukawa

Its the Christmas season and the Pohutukawa trees around Wellington are getting into high gear. Often referred to as The New Zealand  Christmas tree they are really quite beautiful and everywhere in the capital city. The skies here are a tad mottled. Its the Australian bush fires and the prevailing wind here that mostly comes across the Tasman at this time of year.
The extra today is an art exhibit at Te Papa New Zealand’s national museum.  Its 200,000 Bits of colour hung on threads that took 820 hours to assemble and looks amazing. It’’s Called “FinaleBouquet” and the size of a large hall ceiling to floor. https://www.tepapa.govt.nz/visit/exhibitions/toi-art/nike-savvas-finale-bouquet
