Great way to end our year.

Today we’d afternoon tea at the Fairmont St Andrews - using a gift voucher from our sons last Christmas. As frequent visitors to the town we’ve had plenty opportunity to have lunch etc, but we’d saved it for a treat on our last visit of 2019. It was something we did on 11 November last year; I wonder if we’re establishing a tradition?

Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont is based on the Savoy of London experience ..... and with a wee extra course of scrambled eggs, truffle oil, caviar and salmon, becomes Scottish High Tea - I’d that, and my wife the Savoy. A lovely experience from start to finish. And isn’t the China bonny?

Outside it was dull and grey, and a wet drive a fair bit of the way home. Such a contrast to Monday and Tuesday gone
