Autumn

Yet another grey drizzly day.  Getting VERY bored with this weather now.  This pic isn't exactly New England autumn colours, but it's the best I can do near to home - this is just down the road.  I really like the old barn, when there's sunshine it really glows.  The blackbirds are slowly stripping the rosehips from this bush - their favourite bathing place is a large puddle in the gravel drive in front of it.  Recently, we had a fall of migrant blackbirds and the number of bathers went up from two or three at most to about a dozen, queuing up on the fence to take their turn.  The resident sparrows like this bush too, especially when it's sunny.
