Castle of Light!

A very murky dreich day! Mild 8 degrees. Train into Edinburgh from Dunblane mid afternoon, walked to Grassmarket & enjoyed a lovely glass of wine with friend of old, we walked up the steps to Castlehill ( the wine helped!:)) we had tickets for the Castle of Light show, I had heard different views on this so I was bit sceptical ! I so enjoyed the different light projections into the buildings! A fiery dragon , a Rampant Lion named Rex, 2 sentries on duty at the entrance to Hospital Square where the Scottish National War Museum is situated , Rex & The soldiers are comical & witty!
Blip is the statue of Earl Haig Commander in Chief WW1 on horseback & his shadow & poppies projected onto the building which was the hospital in the past
Afterwards a pizza & a walk through the Christmas market before train back
I have to say the market looks so much better after dark .......quite magical!
Caught up with Strictly results when home! Ohitsquarter finals next week it’s getting tougher!
A grand day indeed! :)
