Oysterling

Back to the damp, dull weather - but I was quite happy to stay indoors for most of the day, report writing and nursing a bit of a sore throat and a headache.

I managed a quick tour of the garden before the rain set in, and found this population of oysterlings on the underside of a dead branch on one of our apple trees. The largest ones were less than half a centimetre across. I don't know which species it is - there are quite a few that look similar and can only be told apart by careful examination of their spores.
