Female December moth

Fellow moth catcher Graham, kindly allowed me to take these moths from his catch on Saturday night so I could photograph them.
The December moth Poecilocampa populi , as the name suggests flies at the back end of the year, usually on the wing between October and December. The female is larger than the male (see extra) with  thinly scaled almost translucent wings.
They are fairly common across Britain.
They are also very hairy, presumably to keep warm during the winter nights.
