to 'celebrate'...

Today we celebrated Helena's life and allowed the young to farewell her.

I could tell you what an amazing girl she was but maybe you would understand more if you could have heard the music that was expressed for her today. Because she was a member of the Junior Royal Northern College of Music and the Westmorland Orchestra, a lead singer in Amabile Girl's Choir, a gifted student of one of the North's most talent cello teachers, the lead in school's musicals, a lover and player of African Mbira and a support act for her Father's Irish flute playing...

But I couldn't capture that so maybe this image will express a bit of the feelings of the hundreds of people who later gathered in the embrace of the town's castle and symbolically let 15 (one for each year of her life) sky lanterns go, wishing her peace, wishing her well...
