Callistemon Bush

There has been a glorious Callistemon bush in flower for the last couple weeks right outside the bedroom window.  Sadly it is now looking very tattered because the little honeyeaters have been going at it hammer and tongs.  It was quite dark when I took image but you can see the little character is having a field day.

We had an incredible storm go through this afternoon and I think we got off lightly having watched the news tonight.  Sydney was absolutely belted.  Apparently three storm cells hit the northern beach area at the same time.  They wreaked havoc and have done enormous damage.  There are thousands of people without power still and many houses have been smashed by trees.  Honestly, what is the world coming to!!
