Rain

I went to work in the dark and came home in the dark and I barely noticed the daylight in between. 
The local council offices are being now being lit with purple spotlights and I assume the usual white Christmas lights will be switched on soon.  I am not sure what the purple is all about but maybe someone will reveal the reason.
