I’m selective about which bits of Christmas I participate in. It’s easy to see why since time immemorial, people have celebrated winter with bright lights, glitter and delicious food. They counteract the cold and dark days at this time of year. I’ve been to Manchester today to enjoy the sights and smells of the Christmas market. I didn’t buy a great deal - just a few treats
