Starling Sunset

Went to Ham Wall in the Somerset Levels to see the starlings do their thing. Like all sensible creatures, the birds stayed out late to take full advantage of the scarce winter sunshine; so when they finally headed for home, they didn't take time to do a lot of fancy swoops and patterns before they settled down for the night. They were still pretty amazing though. And what a splendid evening!
