G'day Mate

A day of sun with a cool breeze.  We have travelled south of Melbourne with the Relos (Graham & Mags) to visit Inverloch and the surrounding area.  Great scenery with some spectacular cliffs and interesting towns.  There is a large jazz festival at Inverloch each year where Graham comes to play alto sax in jazz groups - he is a 'pro' level musician so has a great time.

Today we were tourists and had the  traditional BBQ on one of the communal greens before a schooner in the local bar.  I came across this friendly character in another bar before G&M headed back to Melbourne.

J and I are now in Fish Creek for the night before visiting Wilson's Promontory tomorrow and then back to Melbourne.  There was a large flock pf parakeets in the tree by our hotel earlier - what a racket - all squabbling and shrieking.  They do a lot of damage to the trees but are not officially classed as a pest so their numbers cannot be controlled.
