Autumn Argonauts

Coppery beech leaves
sail, sparkling, in the current,
Autumn Argonauts
Pol Ó Colmáin

Sadly not my haiku but that of my friend and Irish teacher Pól from his book The Silence Unravelling.

A misty murky sort of day, I had a quick yomp over the mountain having spent most of the time suddenly panicking about Christmas and attempting to get organised. Not sure I succeeded but the walk was nice, rich coppers and russets and a translucent grey, very soggy underfoot.

A happy Thanksgiving to blip friends across the Pond.
