Oak Cottage

This is the cottage with the beam from earlier this week. As you can see it is a bit out of level. The circle in the plaster above the door is an insurance mark in the days before a national fire service the insurance companies had fire engines and would go to a fire and if you had a badge they would tackle it if you didn’t they would watch it burn or jeer at the other company if they were there working.
