Flower Friday - Yellow

This is the Tipuana Tipu tree which is very beautiful when covered in its lovely yellow flowers and looks great with the bright blue sky behind.

Its actually a South American tree (Bolivia I think) which we have been planting as street shade trees for quite a long time now in Australia. As a result they’ve become a real problem in some areas because every season they produce vast quantities of winged seeds which make themselves at home no matter where they land! Hard to fathom why they’re still on sale at certain nurseries!
