HIS ARSE IN THE BEER

I did go out today in haste - it was cold & drizzly & mizzerable - the only shot I took was the extra - through a Turkish bakery window - trays & trays of stickies.

In English we say, "He fell on his feet"
In French they say, "Il est tombé son cul dans le beurre' ( He fell with his arse in the butter.)
I've Belgicised it a bit!

The bear turned up in my Christmas stocking many years ago & has been sitting in this pewter quart tankard ever since.

The tankard I bought in Loughborough for £4.00 in 1964/5 as a Christmas present for a stepfather who collected crap pewter - a bear of very little taste.

And I inherited...
