Tree of Orchids

This might look like a Christmas tree that needs to be removed, but it is actually a tree made from rows and rows of orchids. The tree is at the Universary of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The little guy walking beside the tree helps show the size. The second shot is a small section of the tree that shows how the pots are all placed in the frame. There is a watering system within the frame that allows for watering of all the plants.

During the Christmas season this tree frame was completely covered in poinsettia plants, which was beautiful.
