Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Tatum

My first ever blip was of Tatum at 6 1/2 years old  . Now she is 16 and we don’t see her too much.  My chance at a Tatum blip now.  Her sport at high school, (cross country running).,,is not exactly a spectator sport like basketball or soccer.   She stays up late, sleeps til noon when she can, spends a lot of time on her phone with friends.    She’s a very good student with some challenging classes that bring out her creativity and intelligence.  She’s learned ASL (American Sign Language) at school.    She’ll have her driver’s license soon and she and Nik will have to share the old volvo  ( and hopefully drive us around..)    She’s wonderful with her little sister and is happy to spend time at home with the family, dog and 2 cats.   She also loves tradition…. Christmas is her favorite time of year,  but also making the pecan pie up here for Thanksgiving. … and then there’s Nanna’s
Swedish pancakes.   Even tho it’s 12:20 PM here, I knew she’d be up to the cabin for pancakes.( we have to hold off Fiona til 9;30 now..)_   I tried to bring them down to the Tall House once..but that doesn’t seem to do the trick.   The tradition is coming here.  So I thought I’d sneak a candid of her sitting in her spot at the table with those pancakes.  We love a chance to see her for a chat like this , and know she won’t be a teenager forever…I hope we live long enough to see what she does.... she's a lovely granddaughter.
Some extras, including with her Dad in their moose pjs.(the whole family has them)   They have such a good relationship…. they do lots together including her calculus.

The gluten free diary free pumpkin pie I made was moist and excellent…could not taste coconut milk at all.  The whole thanksgiving feast was great ( menu in extra yesterday) , even better tonight!  ..Even tho I do not like to cook, I do understand the importance of eating together.    Fiona skipped 14 choices and only had corn bread and pie and ice cream.
