It's snowing!

My son and family arrived last night for a weekend visit. We went to the Ellesmere Winter Festival which is a lantern parade, Father Christmas, music, shops, and artificial snow as shown in my blip.  The lanterns are all made in workshops held in the town - the giant peacock (extra) carried Father Christmas as they paraded around.

The other extra is my butcher.  He was tying a roasting joint for a customer - not something often seen done these days. The three of us had a great conversation about food then and now. He cut up mutton for her as she was going to make a stew in her slow cooker.  It was much slower than buying at the supermarket but much more entertaining.
