Welcome to Blackheath Blippers' Challenge Number 16. Doli has chosen this first challenge for 2013. It is the old "Steam Roller". I don't think it really IS a "steam" roller as such although I am hardly expert at such things.

It entered service with the old Blacktown Council during the 1920s and played a big part in public works over the following two decades. It has been on display in the Blackheath public Gardens, adjacent to the Community Centre, since 1997.
