Nobody went away hungry

The lady in charge of the cake stall was anxious in case she didn't have enough to sell, so she lashed us into a frenzy of baking. It couldn't all be fitted onto the tables in the end, but most of it sold. The Christmas fair overall raised £428 in 2 hours, which wasn't bad as we avoid any form of gambling and so don't do the tombolas and raffles which are often the money spinners.
