Giving thanks

Today about 30 neighbour colleague friends + assorted children all gathered together to celebrate thanksgiving with a varied and totally delicious pot luck assortment of traditional and less traditional dishes to share. The group took over two adjacent ground floor apartments with three large dinning tables and two kitchens full of festive food - a smorgasbord of gourmet dining and a major achievement for the three organiser hosts!  My achievement for the day was to make a large dish of broccoli in a very rich and creamy cheese sauce, using generous quantities of the mature English cheddar I brought back from UK last month. Oh. Can't believe I am writing about cooking food - wow.  is that a first?  Anyway, people seemed to like it.
