Snow on Snow...

Living in hot climes most of my life, snow still has very much fairyland connotations for me. But also means I'm not au fait with its physical properties - soon discovered how COLD and WET it can be: fingers too cold to set camera properly and rain/snowflakes settling on lens didn't help either.

Note to self: next time, take fingerless gloves, umbrella if still coming down, tissues to wipe wetness, and warmer socks.

Still, the Newhall Valley was totally beautiful, especially when rain turned back to snowflakes. Saw a heron walking along the brook, red rosehips frosted in snow, majestic trees outlined against the whiteness. Ended up choosing this fragile snow-holder for my blip - snow on snow.
