Old Railway Bridge

It was a lovely crisp clear and cold morning for a short walk along the River Wharfe from Boston Spa to the old railway bridge and then across the river and back via Thorp Arch. The railway was a victim of the Beeching cuts.
The old bridge in the photo has recently been classified as a Grade II listed building. It has been made safe and reopened as a pathway and cycleway.
Eventually, it is hoped that the bridge will connect Wetherby to Tadcaster and form part of the national cycle route network.
