The in-laws left late morning after another hearty breakfast, I really think someone should consider worming them the amount they can eat. 
It was a cold day and we seemed incapable of getting ourselves revved up to go outside. Thank god for dogs though, after they had only got a few short walks over the last couple of days we decided they deserved a good yomp. So it was over to a very frosty Risley Moss for an hour or two in beautiful low winter sunshine.
After that we felt we had earned a couple of restorative drinks in the local. Nice big group in again so inevitably it turned into more than just a couple.
Will we ever learn... Probably not.
