Not so secret ...

You blippers know about my dependency on a good coffee. But if you don’t - that - (or an Aspall cider), is my secret weapon. Instant satisfaction and mood boost guaranteed, provided made with a good freshly roasted bean, prepared in a Marzocco or similar, by a competent barista.

Just back from Christchurch where Mr B had his shoulder x-ray. Looks like the physio was right in his diagnosis of calcification. Official results die in a few days. He’s not in any extreme pain, ’just’ affects tennis.

Had an hour or so to waste in the High Street. So strolled past the Monday market, round to the Raft for a very pleasant flat white.

5pm and happy to be home. Dark and feeling raw out there. Yellow warning for fog overnight till 11am.

We are pretty much stranded here as South-Western Railway are holding, wait for it, a 27 Day strike. Till January 2nd.

Whilst sympathising with the motive for the strike, I think it’s grossly unfair to hold so many of us to ransom.

We aren’t too dependent on trains, however Mr B’s cousin is finally retiring and returning to France after 40 years here. Her 2 sisters and families are there (originally from Italy).

We had hoped to join her and other members of the family at a leaving lunch next Saturday in London. To drive to London and back on the same day is too much for me. So sadly we will just have to wait for, if and when, she decides to come and visit us in the UK.

Thanks to Carolina for hosting this month’s Mono Monday, challenge ‘Secret Weapon’. And hope she’ll excuse the flash of red in my entry.
