Singin' in the snow

A high-pitched 'tswee'
Pierces
The muffled silence
Of the snowy morning.
It draws the eye
To a showy breast of red
Revealing
A familiar and loved bird
Erithacus rubecula
Singing its heart out
As nesting time draws nearer.

Some lovely snowy beach scenes but the robin singing captured my heart today. If you want to take a look at a couple of others, there's snowy beach, snowy beach 2 and spit & snow.
