Swanage at last

After ages saying I want to go to Swanage, finally made it. The chain ferry from Sandbanks to the Purbecks has been out of action for months. Since then either been busy, weather’s been bad, or haven’t got my act together quickly enough in the morning.

Mr B had his first shoulder physio appointment at 9:45 and we then got the10:42 Breezer bus which takes around 50mns to Swanage. The picturesque route hugs the coast and then the bus goes on the ferry for the 5mn crossing over Poole Harbour.

We know Swanage pretty well. Strolled past the shops, to the pier, up to the clifftop to Peveril Point, then slowly walked down to the quirky ’Java Independent Coffee Shop’ tucked away in a cobbled mews. Excellent flat whites,  and for me avocado on toast.

The sun stayed out brightly until early afternoon, so lucky.  Then returned on the 2:25 Breezer before the cold and damp set in.

Have added some extras of Swanage which I may remove in a few days if I run out of them.

Thanks to BobsBlips for today’s Wide Wednesday ‘Lights’ challenge. If you put on your glasses, you should detect one tall light (lamp-post) to the left of the sign post and several on the pier in the distance!
