Old Post Office and Old Sun Inn, Crosby,

Another wander around the village resulted in the collage of two Images of buildings that in 1978 when my wife and I moved into the village, they were other than the dwellings they are now.

The top image, the white-painted building in the centre of the image, that has a red post box, that building was the post office and village store.

The lower image used to be the Sun Inn, the wall at the rear of the bus shelter was not there, it was a car park. The main bar was a fourteen-foot square with the counter on the rear wall with one table in the centre where everyone sat round. On a weekend the licensee's living room was the overflow room, to be allowed to enter that room you had to have been a regular for quite some time.
