New friends

Spent a great evening at a Christmas reception evening for ‘Fostering Compassion’ an East Lothian based charity which promotes empathy and compassion for animals in children. It does this through contact with and doing things for animals. The theory comes from something called the McDonald triad which suggests children who don’t learn empathy at home are more prone to making bad life choices.
It’s a great wee charity and is gaining a world wide reputation for the work it does. We met 2 beautiful Newfoundland dogs there and Winston the pony
