Village Oak

This very old oak (estimate about 400 years) in my village of Machen, near Caerphilly, (South Wales, UK) is one I pass every day.

It's split in antiquity from a thunder strike but is still thriving. Most of the leaves have fallen as it prepares to face another winter.
