Wood and Rust

Headed into the village, about 4 miles, to the doctor this morning as Himself is still pretty rough and he's been signed off for a week. Lots of coughing and spluttering going on, it's a horrid bug.

Ollie and I escaped into the (very) fresh air and had a good long walk. On the way back we stopped to have a look at the old boats on the shore. This is part of the wreck of the Monarch. Various versions of her story involve her being a wooden mine sweeper, built by women on Lake Superior, coming from Illinois, latterly used to carry potatoes to supply the fleet at the end of the first world war and more recently being in the Eurythmics video "Here Comes the Rain Again" in 1984. This last bit is true - the rest is open to conjecture!
