Paddling Down the Road

We have had more rain overnight, with the lake coming up inch by inch.  This morning I had a walk into the village where I took these photos.

(1)  Around the corner  (2)  Patagonia shop  (3)  Flood levels.  The tallest pole was the flood of 1878, the second tallest the flood of 1999.  I was living in Wanaka then, and can remember that flood well.  (4)  Be prepared (5)  My favourite seat.  (6)  The Hand that Nurtures  (7)  Ardmore Street  (8)  Our famous tree today.

It is still raining, but due to clear on Monday.  I don't think the flood level will be as high as in 1999.  I still have a few more steps to do, so will grab my brolly and head out for a stroll.
