After the conference I had dinner at a lovely Thai restaurant called Little Spice with my co-workers and supervisors. The glasses had the name on them.

One of the supervisors (he transferred to my uni only a year ago), who got his PhD at Manchester, talked a lot about his years in the UK, which was good to hear. He also seemed to get interested in my collection of public signs. Now I'm thinking of staying at some country where English is spoken so that I can start collecting genuine English signs.
