Great Tit

Waiting his turn to get to the feeder newly topped up with nuts this great tit didn't hang around for long in an exposed position. We've had a sparrow hawk making numerous passes and it's a jungle out there now it's dropped colder with all the birds feeling hungry. 

It's not only birds feeling the pinch. We've had a fox dig into the chicken compound which was easy to do with the ground being so very wet it seems. Three chickens have gone which has been upsetting.

Tilly is going straight to the vet in the morning having gone downhill in the last 2 days. She has lost a lot of weight and is now having to be tempted to eat even though it's chicken fillets specially cooked for her. I am hoping for the best and fearing the worst.
