.....crumpet (he's been looking for years) the deep freeze  and they were deemed to be necessary on such a day as we've had.  As with everyone else, strong winds, torrential downpours, hail & thunder!  They were very nice.  Started on writing the cards......have to guard against putting the same thing as every other year such as "another year has passed....etc etc".
