Emma Phillips...

The other day I went over to Carlton to Take a photo of the little church there... while there I saw this cast iron grave marker propped against a tree at the entrance to the church yard. I had used all the film I had so yesterday I went back and took this photo with my Mamiya RB67.

I developed the film today and am quite pleased with this image...

Poor Emma's marker has lasted longer than her place in the church yard. I always think it quite sad grave stones and markers are moved to the edges of the churchyard, mainly I think to make mowing the grass easier.

The exposure was Ilford FP4 Plus 125, f11 at 1/2 sec.
