Lavender snow

It's been snowing most of the day here, tiny delicate flakes drifting down from a cottony sky. There was a fine layer of snow earlier today, then it disappeared, then another and another. In Portland these days, you have to be quick to see any snow accumulation. I miss good old snow storms, we just don't get them anymore.

This is a lavender plant with a few flakes clinging to it. I like the subtle colors. The lavender gets very pale in the winter.
