Desperate Times

Most of south-east Queensland is officially in deep drought. At the same time, bush fires continue, here in Queensland but especially in northern New South Wales.

I took this photo at Colmsie Beach Reserve, Brisbane which used to be a green, leafy natural park teeming with wildlife. It's a desert now, with one or two sad-looking magpies begging from the few humans who were around.
