Hanging Up The Boots?

I wonder if the owner of this boot has clearly had enough, but couldnt face dumping the boots in the bin (a nice boot incidentally). Or did they drop one and someone has kindly put it in an elevated postion in the hope that the owner will find it again. Who knows, but the other boot is definitely not in the bin - not that I have been raking through it! :-)

I have often considering packing in football for a number of reasons, mostly to do with the fact that my ankles and knees both seem to be getting weaker and more painful as the years pass. But I keep on playing because I still enjoy it and as soon as I dont it will be time to stop.
